I was in Texas over a month ago and just forgot to share. I stayed at Joe’s parent’s place in Pipe Creek, which is near the San Antonio area. While there we ate a lot and did some thrifting and antiquing.
While I couldn’t afford, nor bring back a lot of things we saw, I did enjoying looking at all the vintage things. Plus the drive to many of them was fabulous. Even though there’s technically not a mountain range there, it sure felt like it while driving to Leakey.
On our way to Austin we stopped by Hamilton Pool and it was amazing even though Texas is in the middle of a major drought. Hamilton Pool is a natural pool that is partial covered by a rock formation. The water was the perfect temperature and it improved my mood and outlook on Texas. Ashley and Tanner did an excellent job finding this place for us.
Afterwards we stopped by one of the many trailer park eateries to fill our empty bellies. Even though I didn’t order this I did have a bite and this is by far the best veggie burger I’ve ever tasted. Joe and I ordered fried avocado tacos and they were delicious! Although I was feeling nauseous from car sickness, I was still able to enjoy my meal.
Just looking at these pictures again makes me hungry.
